BASIC KEELBOAT (101)

Course fee includes: All instructional materials, ASA Exam & Certification, plus 1-year ASA membership.

A deposit is required. Upon receipt of deposit, we will send your instructional package.
We suggest that you study the materials before attending the first class.

Classroom instruction is held at 714 Beech Street in downtown Fernandina Beach.
On-the-water instruction is conducted from the Fernandina Harbor Marina.

BKB-101 General Description: Able to sail a boat of about 20 feet in length in light to moderate winds and
sea conditions in familiar waters without supervision; a preparatory Standard with no auxiliary power or
navigation skills required.

This sailing class is designed to get the new sailor off on the right track. You will learn basic sailing through
a proven combination of classroom and on-the-water instruction. There is one evening classroom session and
two days on the water. This class is fun as well as educational, with particular emphasis on the needs of the
individual student.
