BASIC COASTAL CRUISING (103)

Course fee includes: All instructional materials, ASA Exam & Certification.

A deposit is required. Upon receipt of deposit, we will send your instructional package.
We suggest that you study the materials before attending the first class.

Classroom instruction is held at 714 Beech Street in downtown Fernandina Beach.
On-the-water instruction is conducted from the Fernandina Harbor Marina.

Prerequisite: Basic Keelboat Sailing Certificate

BCC-103 General Description: Able to cruise safely in local and regional waters as both skipper and crew
on an auxiliary powered sailboat of about 20 to 30 feet in length, in moderate winds and sea conditions.

This sailing class opens up a new sailing opportunity. You will be able to cruise safely in coastal waters as
both skipper and crew on an auxiliary powered sailboat of about 35 feet in length. Areas of instruction include:
Safety, Rules of the Road, Weather, Seamanship, Gear & Equipment, plus Duties of the Skipper & Crew.
This class is designed to give you the self-confidence to begin a cruising adventure with the knowledge and
peace of mind that come from experience!
