Windward Sailing has had some exciting events in recent months!
We added more great captains to our staff and certified many more sailors. Near the end of '07, we moved
our classrooms and offices into our new location in Fernandina Beach's downtown Historic District!

Our headquarters are in a 1907 Victorian home built by a famous local Harbor Pilot, Captain William Bell.
There is a carved wooden bell at the top of each peak—a Bell Brothers trademark. It's called the Lowe house,
named after the original owners. The second owners had the house in the family from 1922 to 2007.
We are proud and excited to be the third owners of this landmark building.

The corner of South 8th & Beech Street is easy to find, and we're across from two of the island's
most popular restaurants! Plus... it's convenient to the downtown marina!

Windward Sailing has a new Ortega River location just minutes away from Jacksonville Landing!
Our Jax area location offers a wide range of services for both new and experienced sailors, including sailing
lessons, charters and bareboat rentals. We currently offer the services of a 28’ Sabre Sailboat (see below),
which is operated by Kevin Conway, a USCG Licensed Captain and ASA Certified Sailing Instructor.
